 A vacation for parents but Soccer business for the Players; dedicated to developing both field players and goalkeepers to their full potential by providing them with a thorough foundation of soccer skills.

ALM Sports 2nd Annual Overnight Camp in the safety of St Thomas University facilities, 16401 nw 37th Avenue, Miami Gardens, Fl 33054. All players will be housed here, experience a college feel, exposed to watch the Miami FC Training Session (Professional Soccer Team in Miami) through our Tactical component of the camp. Our Technical Component will be conducted by top Experienced and Qualified Coaches.
This year we will hire David Sierra (Ex Real Madrid GK) to head our Goalkeepers training throughout the camp giving vital info and playing techniques to get to the next level
 
Last year’s Overnight Camp gave opportunity to a player that went to England to gain exposure to English Game. This years Camp we will look to give more players the opportunity to go to UK to train and play against Pro Soccer Clubs such as: Tottenham Hotspurs Academy, Reading FC, QPR, Southampton and more.

 

Player Criteria

Groups will be organized based on many factors: 


Recreational Players (9-14 years old): First time playing or a seasonal youth player; our coaches will be at hand to ensure the fundamentals instilled.

Travel / Club players and/or Team (9-15 years old): The technical and tactical demand for these players will be high throughout the week;  Games against local ranked travel teams will be arranged.

College Bound Players (16-19 years old): There will be college coaches present to educate / coach and recruit.  Training will be at the highest level making sure to keep the consistency of optimum performance.

Coaching Staff

konyeThis will be Konye’s Second year at our overnight Camp Miami.

Konye, was scouted from as early as nine years old in London England and spent the next ten years gaining experience of professional football at Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspurs and Wolves FC, before continuing to play county and semi professional football whilst completing a law degree. After this Konye continued his experience of professional football in three different countries before playing and coaching futsal and helping Helvecia FC become five time English Southern & National Champions qualifying to play in the Futsal UEFA Cup.A UEFA licensed coach Konye has been highlighted by the FA as a coach for the future recently selected among stiff competition to embark on a directorship course sponsored by KPMG, the FA and the PFA.


Since starting Soccer Shop Window, in less than 2 1/2 years he continues to nurture up to 15 premier league youth academy players and has helped over 30 post 16 year olds get scouted by professional clubs and seen 14 go back into full time football in over 9 countries including USA.


With last year’s appearance a successful highlight, players not only signed up for this year straight away but those that impressed were invited to join him and Peter Dare in England for the chance to show their skills against the likes of Reading, Tottenham and Southampton academies for the chance at joining an English professional club.

Felix Mats has been the head coach at St. Thomas since 2006. In 2010, he led the team to its first appearance in the national tournament, along with the conference regular season and tournament titles. He is a USSF and NCSAA licensed coach.


Mats attended the Indiana University in Bloomington, graduating in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in human development along with a minor in psychology. Mats served as a student assistant for the Indiana University men’s soccer team from 1996-1998, including the 1997 season in which Indiana reached the NCAA Final Four.

Mike Anthony a product of the FA Coaching philosophy from the United Kingdom.  Mike, a Qualified SAQ International Level 1 Coach & FA Level 3 Coach. A former West Ham United Ladies Professional Coach, now resides in South Florida and oversees one of the top ranked Girls Youth Team from Sunrise Elite.

david sierraSierra is a Current Professional Goalkeeper at Miami FC.

Sierra kicked off his career at the Rayo Vallecano Development Academy and went on to the Real Madrid Development Academy. He made his professional debut with Real Madrid C in 2002.


In 2004, Sierra moved to Segunda División team, SD Ponferradina, making his debut for the club in 2006 and appeared in the Copa del Rey competition against Elche CF. He went on to make 57 appearances with SD Ponferradina before moving on to CF Fuenlabrada in 2007, where he made 54 appearances.


Sierra took a small hiatus from the Spanish leagues after his move to AD Arganda in 2009. In 2010, he moved to Puerto Rico where he tended goal for Bayamón FC, appearing in the CFU Club Championship match, and for Sevilla FC Puerto Rico. In 2011, Sierra played as the starting goalkeeper for Honduran first division team CD Victoria. He then transferred back to Spain to play for CD Puerta Bonita in 2012 and made 80 appearances during his time with the team.


In 2015, Sierra made the move to Jacksonville and joined the Armada FC for their inaugural year. During the season, Sierra made 8 appearances, while shutting out the New York Cosmos, who later went on to win the 2015 NASL Champions.
